Data stays on your device
Everything you create in Wallaby — trips, documents, passport and visa details, packing checklists, vaccination records, health information, budgets, notes and attachments — is stored locally on your device.
We have no backend. There is no Wallaby account, no sign-up, no login. We never see your data, and we couldn't even if we wanted to.
iCloud sync is yours, not ours
If you are signed in to iCloud, Wallaby syncs your data across your devices using Apple's CloudKit, stored in your private iCloud database. That data is tied to your Apple Account, protected by Apple, and inaccessible to us. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications are local
Reminders about expiring documents, vaccine doses, packing and departures are scheduled entirely on your device using local notifications. No push servers, no remote notifications, nothing leaves your phone.
Camera and photos
Wallaby asks for camera and photo library access only when you scan a document or attach a photo. Scanned text is extracted on-device. Images are stored with the rest of your data — on your device and in your private iCloud — and are never uploaded to us.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that profile you.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No selling or sharing of data with third parties — we have nothing to sell.
Purchases
Optional subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. To validate purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous, randomly-generated identifier and your purchase receipt — never your name, your Apple Account or any of your travel data. Deleting your data
Since your data only exists on your devices and in your iCloud, deleting it is entirely in your hands: remove items in the app, or delete the app to remove all local data. iCloud data can be removed from iOS Settings → Apple Account → iCloud.
